It’s pretty much just straight pineapple. I’m not getting much in the way of other flavors like mango or papaya or such. Pineapples are very sweet fruits and this soda goes along with that. It actually wasn’t too awful long ago that I had Pineapple Fanta and yeah, if I had to say something that it tastes very close to, it would be that. Do you know what it tastes like? Pineapple Fanta. So, it doesn’t taste much like those two. If anything, I’m wondering if it’ll taste like Kickstart Energizing Pineapple Orange Mango or Maui Burst. Though, I have no delusions that it’s going to taste the same. As for the color, it’s almost identical to Original Recipe Dew. That was pretty much to be expected, since when most people think of tropical fruits, pineapple is easily among the top 3 that most will think of. Upon opening the can, I get a scent of artificial pineapple. But, before I can taste it and bask in the rays, we need to get to the pour. And, thankfully, there’s a flavor called Tropical Sunrise, which just seemed perfect. It’s just a touch chilly here in my apartment this morning, so I thought something like a nice tropical sunrise might help. As I stood in my kitchen, I wondered which one I wanted to do. This is my third review, marking the halfway point of the line. Not zero sugar overall, but does use aspartame for zero “added sugar” (beyond what’s in the concentrated grape juice base)īasically, if you’re like me and you don’t like coffee or tea but you want a morning boost of caffeine, that’s what this line of drinks is here for.It’s their Rise Energy line, created specifically for the morning-soda-drinker in mind.
